Subdivision of a Dwelling to Create Two Flats, Extensions, Garage Conversion and Solar Panels

The client contacted Planning By Design regarding the subdivision of an existing dwelling to create two flats, together with a rear dormer extension, first-floor side extension, single-storey rear extension and garage conversion. The proposal also included six solar panels, forecourt parking for one car, a new front lawn and soft landscaping.

Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, it was determined that the project was feasible and would require full planning permission.

One of our chartered architects prepared the required architectural drawings, which the client approved. Following approval of the design, one of our chartered town planners prepared a Planning, Design and Access Statement to demonstrate that the proposed development complied with the relevant national and local planning policies.

With the client’s approval, a full planning application was submitted with the architectural drawings and supporting documents.
