Replacement of Harbour-Facing Windows

The client contacted Planning By Design regarding the replacement of five existing first-floor timber windows on the harbour-facing elevation with larger uPVC vertical-sliding sash windows that retain the established arched appearance of the façade. Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, it was determined that the project is feasible and will require planning permission.

One of our chartered architects prepared the required architect drawings, which the client approved. Following approval of the architectural design, one of our chartered town planners prepared the required Planning, Design and Access Statement and Heritage Impact Statement, to justify why the council should approve the application. With the client's approval, the architect drawings, Planning, Design and Access Statement and Heritage Impact Statement were submitted with a full planning application.

Planning permission has now been approved for the replacement of five existing first-floor timber windows on the harbour-facing elevation with larger uPVC vertical-sliding sash windows that retain the established arched appearance of the façade.
