The client contacted Planning By Design regarding adding a new double glazed window. Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, it was determined that the proposed new window was feasible and likely to be considered permitted development. A lawful development certificate was recommended as this is the only way to obtain a legal determination that the development is lawful and planning permission is not required. One of our chartered architects prepared the required architect drawings, which the client approved. Following approval of the architectural design, one of our chartered town planners prepared the required planning statement, to justify why the council should approve the application. With the client's approval, the architect drawings and planning statement were submitted with a Lawful Development Certificate application. The LDC has now been approved for the new window.
