Internal, External Alterations and Advertisement Signage to Facilitate the Opening of a New Clothing Retail Store

The client contacted Planning By Design regarding a proposed internal, external alterations and advertisement signage to facilitate the opening of a new clothing retail store. The new shop is located in a pedestrianised block-paved narrow street, where many high-end brands occupy leases on the ground floor and basement for retail sales. The street where is located, is recognised as a retail destination in its own right but also falls within the Central Activities Zone Shopping Area 7 and Conservation Area.

Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, it was determined that the project is feasible and would require full planning permission. One of our chartered architects prepared the necessary architect drawings, which the client has approved.

Following the approved architectural design, one of our chartered town planners prepared the required Planning, Design, Access Statement and Heritage Impact Statement, to justify why the council should approve the application.

With the client's approval, the architect drawings and Planning, Design, Access Statement and Heritage Impact Statement were submitted with a full planning application.

Planning permission has now been approved for advertisement signage to facilitate the opening of a new clothing retail store. Planning applications for external and internal alterations are pending a decision soon.
