After carrying out the work the client contacted Planning By Design to find out whether planning permission was required for installation of ASHP and Solar Panel PV Array. The development provides the property with significant levels of renewable energy annually, contributing to reducing energy bills and therefore carbon emissions.
Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, it was determined that the installation of ASHP and Solar Panel PV Array is feasible but do require retrospective planning permission, which can never be guaranteed.
One of our chartered architects prepared the required architect drawings, which the client approved. Following the approved architectural design, one of our chartered town planners prepared the required Planning Statement and Heritage Impact Statement, to justify why the council should approve planning permission retrospectively.
Retrospective planning permission has now been approved for installation of ASHP and Solar Panel PV Array. This means the client will now not need to restore the site to it's original state and is protected from retrospective planning issues and enforcement action indefinitely.
