The client contacted Planning By Design regarding the proposed alterations to the property involving several modifications aimed at enhancing both its functionality and aesthetics. Key changes include the introduction of two small balconies, with Bedroom 1 receiving one at the rear of the property. Bedroom 2, currently equipped with a dormer, replaced by French doors leading to a balcony. The balconies are expected to feature glass railings, offering a modern aesthetic and improving outdoor views. Other proposed modifications are practical and minor: a new door will be added to provide access from the lounge to the garage, improving internal circulation. A rear window will be replaced with a door. A new window will be added to a side elevation. Velux windows are proposed for the bathrooms upstairs, bringing more natural light into these spaces. There will also be a new porch, which will work as a sheltered entrance area.
One of our chartered architects produced the required architect drawings, which the client approved. Following the approved architectural design, one of our chartered town planners prepared the Planning Statement, to justify to the planning authority why the application should be approved.
With the client's approval, the architect drawings and Planning Statement were submitted with a Householder Planning Application.
Planning permission has now been approved for house improvement works.
