Change of Use of Amenity Land to Domestic Garden – Retrospective

The client contacted Planning By Design regarding retrospective planning permission for change of use of amenity land to domestic garden and erection of fence, after receiving an enforcement notice.

Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, it was determined that the project is feasible. One of our chartered architects prepared the required architect drawings, which the client approved. Following approval of the design, one of our chartered town planners prepared a Planning Statement, to justify why the planning authority should grant retrospective planning permission.

With the client's approval a retrospective planning application was submitted with the architect drawings and Planning Statement.

Retrospective planning permission has now been approved for a change of use of amenity land to domestic garden and erection of fence. This means the client will not need to restore the land to its original state or use and is no longer at risk of enforcement action.
