Whole-Home Interior Design for a Private Residence

The client contacted Planning By Design regarding the interior design of a private residence, including the open-plan kitchen and living area, master bedroom, en-suite bathrooms, guest bedroom and garden.

Following an interior design consultation with our team, a calm, natural and timeless design direction was established. The concept focused on creating a cohesive home with practical layouts, warm natural materials, soft neutral tones and carefully considered storage.

Our interior designers prepared detailed floor plans and room elevations to define the layout, circulation, furniture placement and functionality of each space. Mood boards and furniture boards were then developed to coordinate the proposed colours, materials, furniture, lighting and decorative elements throughout the property.

To support the implementation of the design, our team also prepared a comprehensive Furniture, Fixture and Sanitaryware Schedule in an accompanying Excel document. The spreadsheet provided a detailed room-by-room breakdown of the selected products, quantities, item codes, retail and total prices, supplier links and suitable alternatives. This gave the client a clear overview of where each item could be purchased and the anticipated cost of furnishing and completing each space.

The completed interior design package, comprising the design presentation and detailed Excel specification, provides the client with a clear and coordinated proposal that brings together the spatial design, visual concept, product sourcing and estimated costs required to progress the project.
