Terracing of Part of the Garden Into Three Tiers With Retaining Walls

The client approached Planning By Design regarding the proposed works to the garden to create a three-tiered landscaping effect, with retaining walls to support this. The garden at present has steps and a tall wall up from the driveway/parking area up to the soft landscaped section of the garden, the proposed tiered sections will be on either side of the steps. The existing wall is in disrepair and requires urgent replacement.

Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, it was determined that the project is feasible and will require full planning permission.

One of our chartered architects prepared the architect drawings, which were approved by the client. Following approval of the architectural design, one of our chartered town planners prepared the required Design and Access Statement, to justify why the council should approve planning permission.

Planning permission has now been approved for the terracing of part of the garden into three tiers with retaining walls.
