Swimming Club Sauna Installation

The client approached Planning By Design regarding a proposed installation of a modest new sauna facility within the grounds of the swimming club, which is an established private recreational site with a long-standing heritage of use as a swimming lake. The new sauna is ancillary to the principal recreational use and supports the club’s function by enhancing health and wellbeing facilities for its members.

Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, it was determined that the project is feasible and will require full planning permission.

One of our chartered architects prepared the architect drawings, which were approved by the client. Following approval of the architectural design, one of our chartered town planners prepared the required Design and Access Statement and Flood Risk Analysis, to justify why the council should approve planning permission.

Planning permission has now been approved for the installation of a modest new sauna facility within the grounds of the swimming club.
