The client contacted Planning By Design regarding retrospective planning permission for a store room which was added to rear extension of the property. The store room was built to serve the retail unit which is currently a gift shop.
Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, it was determined that the project was feasible and would require retrospective planning permission.
One of our chartered architects prepared the architect drawings, which the client approved. Following approval of the architectural design, one of our chartered town planners prepared the required Design and Access statement to justify why the council should approve the application. With the client's approval the retrospective planning application was submitted together with the architect drawings and Design and Access planning statement.
The retrospective planning application has now been approved, which means the client will not be required to demolish the existing a store room and now is protected from retrospective planning issues indefinitely.
