Retrospective Summer House and Change of Use

After receiving an enforcement notice the client contacted Planning By Design regarding a newly built summer house. Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, it was determined that securing planning approval was feasible and the best course of action was an application for retrospective full planning permission for the new build summer house and change of use from commercial to residential. One of our chartered architects prepared the required architect drawings, which the client approved. Once the architectural design was approved, one of our chartered town planners prepared the required design and access statement, to justify why the application should be approved by the council. With the clients approval the architect drawings and planning statement have been submitted with an application for retrospective full planning permission. The planning application has now been approved, which means the client will no longer need to demolish the build.
