The client contacted Planning By Design after receiving an enforcement notice for a newly built garage with a workshop, which the council asked him to demolish. Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, it was determined that the best course of action was a retrospective planning application. This would have a strong likelihood of success, providing a strong application was submitted. One of our chartered architects prepared the required architect drawings, which the client approved. Following approval of the design, one of our chartered town planners prepared a comprehensive planning statement, to justify why the planing authority should approve the application. With the clients approval the planning application was been submitted with the drawings and planning statement. The retrospective planning application has now been approved so the garage does not need to be demolished.
