The client contacted Planning By Design after receiving an enforcement notice for a replacement roof which they didn't know needed planning permission. Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners and despite being within a conservation area, it was determined that retrospective planning approval was feasible via a householder planning application. One of our chartered architects produced the required architect drawings, which the client approved. Following approval of the architectural design, one of our chartered town planners prepared the required planning, design and access statements, to justify to the planning authority why the application should be approved. With the client's approval, the architect drawings and planning statement were submitted with a householder planning application. Retrospective planning permission has now been approved for the replacement roof. This means the client will not need to restore the property to its original state and is protected from any further retrospective planning issues indefinitely.
