The client contacted Planning By Design regarding a proposed change of the existing two separate single garage doors to a double width ‘up and over’ style garage door, with a built-in pedestrian door. This will also involve the removal of the existing central brick pillar and the wooden framework around the existing doors. The client also would like to remove the existing sliding patio door at the rear and to change the existing front door.
Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, it was determined that the project was feasible and potentially permitted development via the submission of an application for a Lawful Development Certificate.
One of our chartered architects produced the required architect drawings, which the client approved. Following the approved design, one of our chartered town planners prepared the required Planning Statement / Evidence to Verify, to justify to the planning authority why the application should be approved. With the client's approval the architect drawings and Planning Statement / Evidence to Verify were submitted with a Lawful Development Certificate application.
The Lawful Development Certificate for replacement of the front door and alteration of rear sliding door to uPVC window, and replacement of separate single garage doors to double has now been approved.
