Planning Appeal for an Installation of Solar Panels on the Victorian Church

The client approached Planning By Design after planning permission was refused for the installation of solar panels on the south side pitched roof of the Anglican Church constructed in the Victorian Era. The site forms part of a Grade II Listed Building. The significance of the church lies in its architectural and historic value as a well-preserved example of Neo-Romanesque ecclesiastical design.

Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, it was determined that the project is feasible and therefore the decision should be appealed.

One of our chartered architects prepared the architect drawings, which the client approved. Following the approved architectural design, one of our chartered town planners prepared the Planning Statement and Heritage Impact Statement to justify why the appeal should be approved.

The appeal has now been approved and planning permission granted for installation of solar panels on the south side pitched roof of the Anglican Church constructed in the Victorian Era.
