The client contacted Planning By Design regarding a proposed loft conversion. Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, it was determined that the project was feasible, and potentially permitted development. An application for a Lawful Development Certificate was recommended, as the only way to obtain a legal determination. One of our chartered architects produced the required architect drawings, which the client approved. Following the approved design, one of our chartered town planners prepared the required planning statement, to justify to the planning authority why the application should be approved. With the clients approval the architect drawings and planning statement were submitted with an application for a certificate of lawfulness. A lawful development certificate has now been approved for the loft conversion.
