The client contacted Planning By Design regarding a proposed conversion of the existing loft space into habitable accommodation through the installation of three Velux windows to the front (north) elevation of the property.
Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, it was determined that the project was feasible and potentially permitted development via the submission of an application for a Lawful Development Certificate.
One of our chartered architects produced the required architect drawings, which the client approved. Following the approved design, one of our chartered town planners prepared the required Verification of Evidence Statement, to justify to the planning authority why the application should be approved. With the clients approval the architect drawings and Verification of Evidence Statement were submitted with a Lawful Development Certificate application.
The Lawful Development Certificate for the conversion of the existing loft space into habitable accommodation through the installation of three Velux windows has now been approved.
