The client contacted Planning By Design regarding a proposed enclosing of the existing rear balcony/terrace on the first-floor rear of the dwelling, allowing it to become part of the dwelling’s internal floor space. This will allow the client to use the space as a winter garden and office space, thereby maximising use of the site.
Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, it was determined that the project is feasible and would require full planning permission.
One of our chartered architects produced the required architect drawings, which the client approved. Following the approved architectural design, one of our chartered town planners prepared the required Planning, Design and Access Statement, to justify why the planning application should be approved by the planning authority.
The planning application has now been approved for the installation of enclosed balcony.
