The client contacted Planning By Design regarding retrospective planning permission for an existing outbuilding, after receiving an enforcement notice. The client installed an outbuilding in the front garden of the property. The purpose of the outbuilding is to store the client’s 91-year-old father’s mobility scooter.
Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, it was determined that the project was feasible and would require retrospective planning permission via a householder planning application.
One of our chartered architects produced the required architect drawings, which the client approved. Following approval of the architectural design, one of our chartered town planners prepared the required Planning Statement, to justify to the planning authority why the application should be approved.
With the client's approval, the architect drawings and Planning Statement were submitted with a householder planning application.
The retrospective planning application has now been approved, which means the client will not be required to demolish existing outbuilding and now is protected from retrospective planning issues indefinitely.
