The client approached Planning By Design regarding a proposed conversion of the existing domestic garage in the dwelling’s curtilage.
Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, it was determined that garage conversion was feasible and potentially permitted development. A lawful development certificate was recommended as this is the only way to get a legal determination that planning permission is not required.
One of our chartered architects prepared the required drawings which the client approved. Following the approved design, one of our chartered town planners prepared the required Planning Statement / Evidence to verify application, to justify why the council should approve the application.
A lawful development certificate has now been approved to convert the garage in the dwelling’s curtilage.
