Garage Conversion and Dropped Kerb at the Front of the Property

The client approached Planning By Design regarding a proposed garage conversion and vehicular access/ dropped kerb at the front of the property. This will allow residents to park within the curtilage of the dwelling. To facilitate access to the existing hard standing, the kerb at the front of the property will be tapered to a ramp and dropped, and the existing footway and grass verge will become a vehicle crossing. The existing garage at the site will also be converted to a lounge area, and a bay window will be added, which will match the existing living room bay window.

Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, it was determined the project was feasible and would require full planning permission.

One of our chartered architects prepared the required architect drawings, which the client approved. Following approval of the drawings, one of our chartered town planners prepared the required Design and Access Statement, to justify why the council should approve the planning application. With the client's approval the planning application has been submitted, together with the drawings and Design and Access Statement.

Planning permission has now been approved for garage conversion and vehicular access/ dropped kerb at the front of the property.
