French Doors, Juliet Balcony, Porch and Stairwell

The client contacted Planning By Design regarding proposed various alterations to fenestration at the property and other minor external alterations.

At the rear of the property, the proposed works include replacing the existing bedroom 3/study window with French doors and a Juliet balcony, installing a new UPVC glazed porch of similar design, bricking up the small pantry window, and replacing the Dining Room UPVC window with a version without internal metal bars. In addition, the rear brick-built stairwell/parapet height will be lowered to improve views over the garden.

Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, it was determined that the project is feasible and will require full planning permission.

One of our chartered architects prepared the required architect drawings, which the client approved. Following approval of the architectural design, one of our chartered town planners prepared the required Planning, Design and Access Statement, to justify why the council should approve the application. With the client's approval, the architect drawings and Planning, Design and Access Statement have been submitted.

Planning permission has now been approved for the various alterations to fenestration at the property and other minor external alterations.
