Erection of Single Storey Extension to use as a Garage

The client approached Planning By Design regarding a proposed erection of a single storey side extension to use as a garage. Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, it was determined that the erection of garage was feasible and likely to be considered permitted development. A lawful development certificate was recommended as this is the only way to get a legal determination that planning permission is not required. One of a our chartered architects prepared the architect drawings, which the client approved. Following the approved architectural design, one of our chartered town planners prepared the required planning statement, to justify why the council should approve a the application. A lawful development certificate has now been approved for the single storey side extension to use as a garage.
