Erection of a Two Storey Side Extension to Form a Granny Annex

The client approached Planning By Design regarding proposed erection of a two storey side extension to form a granny annex to house elderly family. The property would be accessed by an independent door, with the ground floor accommodation comprising a living room, a kitchen, a toilet and on the second floor there would be two double bedrooms each with an ensuite bathroom.

Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, it was determined that the project is feasible and will require planning permission via submission of a householder planning application.

One of our chartered architects prepared the architect drawings, which the client approved. Following approval of the architectural design, one of our chartered town planners prepared the required Design and Access statement, to justify why the council should approve planning permission.

Planning Permission has now been approved for the erection of a two storey side extension to provide self-contained accommodation.
