The client contacted Planning By Design regarding retrospective planning permission for an existing conservatory and side extension. Fortunately they had not yet received an enforcement notice but were not aware they were in breach of planning and at risk of enforcement action.
Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, it was determined that the project was feasible and would require retrospective planning permission via a householder planning application.
One of our chartered architects prepared the architect drawings, which the client approved. Following approval of the architectural design, one of our chartered town planners prepared the required design and access statement to justify why the council should approve the application. With the clients approval the retrospective householder planning application was submitted together with the architect drawings and design and access planning statement.
The retrospective planning application has now been approved, which means the client will not be required to demolish the existing side extension and now is protected from retrospective planning issues indefinitely.
