Dropped Kerb and Vehicle Crossover With an Associated Driveway

The client contacted  Planning By Design regarding a proposed formation of vehicular access at the front of the property in the form of a dropped kerb. The kerb at the front of the property will be tapered to a ramp and dropped, and the existing footway will become a vehicle crossing. A porous paved driveway will also be added within the front garden of the property to facilitate access and the off-street parking.

Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, it was determined the project was feasible and likely to be considered permitted development. In order to obtain a legal determination that is permitted development, we advised submitting an application for a Lawful Development Certificate.

One of our chartered architects prepared all of the required architect drawings which the client has approved. Following the approved architect drawings, one of our chartered town planners prepared the required Design & Access Statement / Evidence to verify application, to justify why the planning authority should approve the application. With the client's approval the application has been submitted together with the drawings and Design & Access Statement / Evidence to verify application.

The Lawful Development Certificate for the dropped kerb and vehicle crossover with an associated driveway has now been approved.
