Disabled Access Ramp at the Front of the Property

The client approached Planning By Design regarding a proposed formation of a zig-zagged disabled accessed ramp in the property’s front garden, to the western side of the existing stairway access. This will allow inclusive disabled access to the dwelling. The form and shape of the ramp will allow for a less steep gradient for the occupier of the home, allowing access to and from the house via a wheelchair.

Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, it was determined the project was feasible and would require full planning permission.

One of our chartered architects prepared the required architect drawings, which the client approved. Following approval of the drawings, one of our chartered town planners prepared the required planning statement, to justify why the council should approve the planning application. With the client's approval, the planning application has been submitted, together with the drawings and planning statement.

Planning permission has now been approved for the disabled access ramp at the front of the property.
