The client approached Planning By Design regarding a proposed demolition of the existing rear extension and outbuilding, and the addition of a second storey (upwards extension) to the property with a hipped roof form to match the existing. The erection of a new rear extension with three Velux windows, and the addition of new side windows and a side door to ground-floor, with associated minor internal reconfiguration, for example, partitions to allow the formation of a shower room, pantry and utility room. The alterations to the dwelling will allow for the creation of further living space, which will enhance the living environment of the dwelling.
Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, it was determined that the project is feasible and will require full planning permission.
One of our chartered architects prepared the architect drawings, which were approved by the client. Following approval of the architectural design, one of our chartered town planners prepared the required Design and Access Statement, to justify why the council should approve planning permission.
Planning permission has now been approved for the demolition of existing rear extension and outbuilding, addition of second storey to property with a hipped roof form to match existing, erection of new rear extension with three Velux windows, and the addition of new side windows and a side door to ground floor.
