Conversion of a Single Dwelling House into 2 Flats

The client contacted Planning By Design regarding the proposed conversion of a single-family 3-bedroom dwelling to 2 self-contained flats after a full planning application was refused.

Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, due to the complexity and constraints at the site it was determined that a formal pre-application was the best way forward.

One of our chartered architects produced the required architect drawings, which the client approved. Following approval of the architectural design, one of our chartered town planners prepared the required planning statement, to justify why the council should approve the application.

With the client's approval, the drawings and statement were submitted with a pre-planning application for the conversion of a single dwelling house into 2 flats.

The pre-app response has now been received to confirm what may and may not be approved should the client submit another full planning application.
