The client approached Planning By Design regarding a proposed construction of a double-storey side extension. It would extend outwardly to the dwellings side by 2245/2670 mm and will cover the entire north side of the dwelling, there will also be a bay window to the rear, which will be 1200mm in depth. The extended section will match and continue the roof form of the existing. The extension will connect to the parent dwelling via the existing hallway. On the ground floor will be a new open plan entrance/ utility/ schoolroom. On the first floor, the extension will facilitate the creation of a new bedroom, walk-in closet, and bathroom.
Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, it was determined that the project is feasible and will require planning permission via submission of a householder planning application.
One of our chartered architects prepared the architect drawings, which were approved by the client. Following approval of the architectural design, one of our chartered town planners prepared the required Design and Access Statement, to justify why the council should approve planning permission.
Planning permission has now been approved for a construction of a double storey side extension.
