The client approached Planning By Design regarding a proposed construction of a double storey rear extension and detached garage outbuilding. The extension would measure 3000mm depth from the rear wall and extend across the width of the dwelling. The purpose is to enrich the amenity of the residents through the creation of an enlarged open plan kitchen/living/dining area on the ground floor, and an enlarged master bedroom on the first floor, with a new Velux window on the east elevation.
Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, it was determined that the project is feasible and will require full planning permission.
One of our chartered architects prepared the architect drawings, which were approved by the client. Following approval of the architectural design, one of our chartered town planners prepared the required Design and Access Statement, to justify why the council should approve planning permission.
Planning permission has now been approved for construction of a double storey rear extension and detached garage outbuilding.
