Conservatory – Retrospective

The client contacted Planning By Design regarding retrospective planning permission for the construction of a conservatory using the existing canopy structure at their property after receiving an enforcement notice.

Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, it was determined that the project was feasible and would require retrospective planning permission via a householder planning application.

One of our chartered architects prepared the architect drawings, which the client approved. Following approval of the architectural design, one of our chartered town planners prepared the required planning statement, to justify why the council should approve the application. With the clients approval the retrospective householder planning application was submitted together with the architect drawings and planning statement.

The retrospective planning application has now been approved, which means the client will not be required to demolish the conservatory and now is protected from retrospective planning issues indefinietly.
