Change of Use From a Guesthouse to an 8-Bedroom HMO

The client contacted Planning By Design regarding the proposed change of use from a guesthouse, benefitting from 10 bedrooms (use class C1) to an 8-bedroom HMO (use class sui generis).

Following a planning appraisal with one of our chartered town planners, it was determined that the project was feasible and would require full planning permission.

One of our chartered architects produced the required architect drawings, which the client approved. Following approval of the architectural design, one of our chartered town planners prepared the required Planning, Design and Access Statement, to justify why the council should approve the application. With the client's approval an application for full planning permission, together with the architect drawings, Planning, Design and Access Statement have been submitted.

Planning Permission has now been approved for the conversion of the existing guesthouse to a large HMO (8-bed).
